| Synopsis | Millions
of people throughout the world are dying because they have breathed asbestos
fibres. The dangers of asbestos have been known for years, however this
material has only recentle been banned in Holland. In other countries asbestos
is still mined and exported to almost all countries of the Third World. The film looks at victims of asbestos and tries to find an answer to why asbestos was not banned earlier in Holland in Holland and has still not been banned elsewhere in the European Community. We also see rare footage of an asbestos mine in Canada and the processing of raw asbestos into countless products in small cottage industries in India |
