| Synopsis | A film about 3 women's groups with a Christian background in Ghana, El Salvador and the Netherlands that all took part in the international project for intercultural bible-reading ‘Seen through Other Eyes'. Each group reads the same bible text: the conversation between Jesus and the Samaritan woman, John 4:1-42. The project examines the fact that reading any text, even a passage from the bible, always starts from the personal experiences and background of the reader and is also largely shaped by the culture in which the reader is to be found. In this documentary, we see the groups in their own surroundings, the way they meet as a group and how they interpret the story. Con una mirada diferente |
